#StarFmTechNews:ZRP condemns online dating,CBZ closes 3 branches


A 29-year-old woman has been raped by a boyfriend whom she met online, the Zimbabwe Republic Police has revealed. The victim met the accused along Samora Machel in Harare for the first time and the two drove to a house where the complainant was later raped. The ZRP has therefore discouraged online dating citing that perpetrators are luring their victims over social media networks and then raping them.

CBZ has announced the closure of the Bulawayo fife street and the Joshua Mqabuko Nyongolo Nkomo branches on the 31st of December 2019. In Chitungwiza, the Makoni and Town Centre branches will be merged leaving only the Makoni branch. However, customers have been urged to use the CBS mobile app, internet banking and point of sale terminals and ATMs.
