Samsung unveils ‘mobile-first’ laptops, the New Galaxy Book Pro Series

Samsung has unveiled  a  ‘mobile first’ laptop, the new Galaxy Book Pro Series which has a combined strength of a laptop with the usability of its smartphone.

The Galaxy Book, Galaxy Book Pro, Galaxy Book Pro 360, and Galaxy Book Odyssey are four mobile-first PCs from Samsung, they all run on Windows 10 and an Intel processor.

The shiny OLED displays are the series’ main attraction. This is mostly due to the fact that previous versions, with the exception of the Galaxy Chromebook, have all featured QLED displays.

The new laptops are extremely thin and light, with the Pro measuring 11.2 millimeters thick and the Pro 360 measuring 11.9 millimeters thick.

The 15-inch Book Pro 360 can accommodate up to 2TB of SSD storage and 32GB of RAM. The same-sized Galaxy Book Pro has 16GB of RAM and up to 2TB of SSD storage.

Both are available with 13- or 15-inch AMOLED displays with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. The screens include a “intelligent color engine,” which adjusts the colors on the screen based on the task at hand.

The laptops, according to Samsung, have a long-lasting battery, an updated S Pen, noise-cancelling microphones, and deep integration with smartphones.

The Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360 are now on pre-order and will begin shipping on May 14. The Galaxy Book Pro will start at $999.99, while the Galaxy Book 360 will start at $1,199.99.
