The highly publicized Rio-Set [email protected] 2016 will roar into life tomorrow at NUST in the City of Kings with over 30 000 attendees expected to turn up for the national event. This year’s event has been organized through a well coordinated partnership between Rioset and TechnoMag’s [email protected] initiative which has been running annually for the past three years.

The much hyped event will be running under the theme “Growing the Zimbabwean economy through innovations.” The Rioset [email protected] national even is encompassed under the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development where the government is looking forward to keep on driving its STEM initiative which is expected to boost the number of tertiary students to undertake science & technological majors at University level.
Ministry of Education and the Zimbabwe Council of Higher Education (Zimche), IDC, the Zimbabwe Institute of Engineers, all Universities across the country, Polytechnics and Colleges including TechnoMag will all converge at NUST tomorrow with a lot of lively technological debates and exhibitions expected to take place for the next 3 days.
To make it one of the most memorable and most insightful tech events, Rioset [email protected] will see a galaxy of powerful speakers taking to the stage their views and experiences on the technological battle for relevance. Deputy Minister of ICT, Hon. Dr. Win Mlambo will grace the event as the guest of honor while Professor Jonathan Moyo will be spearheading his Ministry of HTE where he is excepted to continue shedding more light on the STEM initiative.
Baxton Sirewu, the Director General, POTRAZ, Brian Mutandiro the current acting NetOne CEO, Douglas Mboweni the CEO at Econet Wireless Zimbabwe, TelOne MD Mrs Chipo Mutasa and Nikki Finneman from the US Embassy are all lined up to be the leading speakers at the official opening of the event tomorrow.
