A Zimbabwean urban radio station has been struck off the DStv Zimbabwe Public Channels Bouquet. ZBC’s Power FM was removed off the bouquet which many Zimbabweans tuned to had they not paid their subscriptions.
The station is found on channel 893.
It started broadcasting on DStv in 2014.
An avid Power FM listener Wilson Chipangura tagged TechnoMag on Twitter about this latest development.
“@PowerFMZimbabwe is no longer available on @DStv Zimbabwe and @Multichoice as a free station @TechnoMag,” he said.
Power FM is one of the best urban radio stations in Zimbabwe which set the pace for the likes of Star FM and ZiFM.
But Star FM is increasingly becoming more popular as it leads the urban listenership market share.
