MOST parastatals are perceived to be medieval by members of the public. The adage that perception and reality are worlds apart will likely hit any passer-by who walks through Agribank’s Head Office along Nelson Mandela Avenue, of course with the balance tilting towards reality.

Agribank is one of those banks staying abreast of trending disruptive technologies that bring convenience to its customers thus saving them the time of waiting in long winding queues just to get a banking service.
Ignorance is indeed a draw back with many people not realising that what they are missing is just in in front of them, be it on their phone or a place.
From Prepaid Electricity payments, Zimbabwe National Road Authority (ZINARA) payments, Ecocash services, insurance among other services, Agribank ensured all these are brought into the shop for the convenience of customers.
At the Express shop which is barely a month old, customers can be advised on how to use the bank’s mobile app.
That’s not all, if a customer does not have an Android smartphone or iPhone, there is a USSD platform which they can use. One has to dial *227# to access the banking services.
To access these platforms one needs an account with the bank to enjoy the services offered.
One can transfer money to any Zimswitch connect bank via the ZIPIT platform. Further, customers will be able to pay electricity bills, buy airtime from any mobile network on the application and USSD platform. Customers can also check their account balances and get mini statements using the application.
The company should make sure to add more products with time so that customers can get the best of what has to Agribank has to offer.
