The mobile network engineers
are were reported to be working hard to restore the nationwide blackout, which we could not get the cause by the time of publishing.
A customer service officer however confirmed that NetOne data
iswas down nationwide from 20:00hrs and only said that their technical people are working flat out to fix the issue.
Millions on the network
are were locked out or have to use alternative networks to get connected.
The major glitch
comes came at a wrong time when thousands are and have migrated to the One fusion bundle which offers so much more value for data and voice services. We are still yet to ascertain the cause of the problem, and we will update you with the latest developments.
Update: Network Service has been restored;
Our investigatiion established that there was a critical power fault in Kadoma, where their Internet Access Provider (Name supplied) was also affected, and could not give data access as well. We are yet to independently confrirm fom the IAP though.
The ZESA power fault was fixed around12 midnight, and service was restored.
