Nafuna TV's Creative Visuals Earns Them YATA 2015 Award

Zimbabwe’s best animated videos production start up Nafuna TV walked away with the Most Creative online visuals at the recently held Young Achievers Technology Awards (YATA) 2015.

Nafuna was given a floating trophy, a certificate and a GTel tablet.

The awards were organized by Zimbabwe’s premier technology magazine with the aim to recognize young technocrats in Zimbabwe.

Speaking to TechnoMag, Nafuna TV founder Nqobizitha Mlilo said it was such a great honour to receive the award.

“Its a great honour  to be recognised in any fashion, so definitely getting the award has been really great for us. Its always good when people appreciate your work after working hard its always a good feeling,” he said.

“Nafuna is a digital media startup started in 2012 . We mainly have three parts of our business.
“The first is content creation where we produce TV shows both for the online space and traditional TV , a lot that we have won awards for lsome talk shows like Tonight with Zororo. We also have shows like Nafuna Now as well as Zimbabwe’s leading animated series called Angry mwana.
“The next part of the business is the studio where we provide services for corporates and NGOs such as production, animation, branding consultancy and advertising,”

“And then also we have Nafuna Campus, which is the brand under the company where we teach university graduates in animation,” he said.
He also said they envision themselves as one of the leading the industry across the region.

“in the next three years we definitely see ourselves as a leader in the industry its we we really would like to be. We like to push more boundaries, go into the uncharted territories and develop our existing brand to become of the leading brands in the country and the region,” said Mlilo.
