The Zimbabwe Republic Police’s Criminal Investigation Department is still keen to interview NetOne’s Acting board chairperson Susan Mutangadura, TechnoMag can exclusively reveal.
Speaking to TechnoMag this morning, Police Assistant Commissioner Paul Themba Nyathi has confirmed that the CID department is still keen to interview her over the allegations charged against another NetOne director who was freed on ZWL$10 000 bail.
Mutangadura is alleged to be on the “police wanted list”.
“We are still keen to interview her, we have tried to reach out from last Friday over the NetOne issues, we are making frantic efforts to locate her and will update you by mid day on the matter,” said Nyathi.
Nyathi pledged to update TechonoMag on any development that would have taken place in trying to interview Mutangadura.
Susan Mutangadura is wanted by police over criminal charges of perjury.
It is the state’s case that Susan Mutangadura lied under oath that Douglas Mamvura was never appointed a board member, yet there was formal communication from the then minister Hon Kazembe Kazembe to that effect.
Sources allege that some officials at the ministry of ICT opposed the appointment and frustrated the appointment which was done on the same week before Hon Kazembe Kazembe was assigned to a new ministry of Home Affairs Ministry.
Douglas Mamvura never attended a single NetOne Board meeting since appointment because the board refused to acknowledge him.
