The ministry Of Information and Communication Technology, and Postal and Courier Services has Today announced that it has moved their grand 4 day annual event to next year after it completely failed to show any signs of flying earlier as the year shuts down.
The event was set to kickstart from tomorrow till Friday but the official press release has confirmed that the event will not be marking our calendar this year.
The e-Tech Africa exhibition was birthed not more than 2 years ago as it hogged the limelight last year pulling quiet a significant success crowd last year.
This event is directly run under the ministry of ICT and postal courier services which was then the ministry of ICT.
Few weeks backs, Zimbabweans went through the three day ICT Africa exhibition spearheaded by the ICT Suppliers Association Of Zimbabwe, which faired pretty well.
Analysts have however questioned the obvious spacing and significance of running two major similar events separated by not more than four weeks, the same dejavu that almost occurred, but we guess maybe the players just favour the time or timing of the season.
Unfortunately for most techies, this will probably move further their opportunity to see and hear what the newly appointed ICT minister, Hon Webster Shamu has in store for arguably the fastest developing sector in the country.
