Zimbabwe’s largest opposition party, MDC Alliance, recently introduced a latest electronic membership system as the party gears up for the upcoming 2023 elections.
This comes at a time the party is aggressively recruiting new members through Voter Registration campaigns.
The flier shared on the party’s online platforms reads, ” Join The MDC Alliance Today” carries all the details for one to become a member of the party.
The membership card costs USD2 and ZWL200 in foreign and local currency respectively.
Meanwhile, subscribed members will have to pay a paltry monthly fee of USD0.50.
For one to register and get a card:
1. Save this number +263 782 862 333 into your phone
2. Get your ID ready and your polling station
3. Send ‘JOIN’ to that number
4. Follow instructions and be part of the MDC Alliance
Payment for the membership card and subscription can easily be done via Ecocash and one will be prompted to put a PIN
