Liquid Telecom Zimbabwe was conferred with the prestigious Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce Top ICT Company of the year award again for their sterling fibre project running across the nation, a title they have defended twice in a row.
The ZNCC Mashonaland Annual Business Awards Ceremony and Dinner were being held in Harare at Zimbali, where all captains of the business and industry from the province converged for awards.
Liquid Telecom was being awarded for their African fibre projects which run across their length and breath of Zimbabwe connecting several mainland countries, The Chief Commercial Officer, Mr Martin Mushambadope, said they were excited about the recognition of their vision to connect Zimbabwe, Africa and beyond.
We have rolled out 10 600 kilometers of fibre across Zimbabwe since inception as the fibre company works towards consolidating its position as the leading internet serves provider in the country.”
The Liquid Telecom team were ecstatic about the award as the celebrated the recognition of their hard work they put into the industry since inception.
The fibre company which is part of the Econet Group has also rolled out 25 000 kilometres of fibre across Africa.
The provincial awards were being presented by Honorable minister of Industry and Commerce Mike Bimha who advocated for excellency in service provision for all Zimbabweans.
The runner up in the same category was TelOne, a state owned telecommunication company providing internet and telephony services.
The next annual awards are set for a national showdown in Victoria falls where all provinces across the business sector are to collide for the grand posts.
The awards were being held under banner theme of “Consolidating the new normal through policy reforms.”
