'Lets Go 50-50' Sweetens Highlanders,Caps Clash


Mobile telecommunications giant NetOne Cellular has given fans a timely boost ahead of the Sunday Castle Large Premier Soccer League clash between Highlanders and Caps United. The two sides are sponsored by NetOne Cellular and it has pledged to pay half the price of match day tickets for all fans buying their tickets using their OneMoney accounts.

Through its ‘Lets Go 50-50’ initiative which was introduced in 2018 ,the Battle of Cities, a moniker for matches between Highlanders and Caps United is expected to attract more fans and challenge the two teams to dish out an entertaining game.

The encounter is one of the biggest on the domestic scene and gate charges have been pegged at $5 for the rest of ground, $10 for the wings and $20 VIP, setting the minimum entry fees for One Money users at $2.50.

The fans will pay $2,50, $5 and $10 respectively for Rest of Grounds, Wing and VIP respectively and the other half will be paid by NetOne.

This weekend will be a proud moment for NetOne Cellular as all the four teams it sponsors will be locking horns.Highhlanders and Caps United will clash at Barbourfields while army sides Chapungu Fc and Black Rhinos will be battling at Mandava Stadium on the same day.

All NetOne Cellular sponsored PSL teams will be in action this Sunday.

As part of their sponsorship package ,Netone has sweetened the deal by introducing individual incentives for the players who play for their sponsored teams to increase competition and more entertainment.

NetOne Marketing Director,Dr Eldrette Shereni said

“We will be rewarding things like hatricks, clean sheets for a certain number of matches, the top goal scorers at an individual player level because we would want to improve the level of football and the level of competition.”

“We feel that if we put that sweetener the players themselves will improve their game and make football interesting for all of us.”

NetOne Cellular, currently the biggest sponsors of local football continues to show great commitment to the development of the sport through a number of sponsorship initiatives.
