ICT Ministry Trains Judges, Launches Integrated Electronic Case Management System

The Ministry of Information, Communication Technology,  Postal and Courier Services recently trained Judicial Services members and launched the Integrated Electronic Case Management System, IECMS a move that has digitized the Zimbabwe judiciary system.

Addressing various top judicial officials, ICT , Postal and Courier Services Minister Hon Jenfan Muswere said that the launch of the Integrated Electronic Case Management System is an important milestone that will see Zimbabwean courts fully join the digital age offering services that include e-filing.

“This innovation will not only reduce physical contact but it will also increase efficiency in the judiciary and ensure that the Judicial Services Commission lives up to its vision to provide “world class justice for all.” As this system is launched it is important for judicial officials and staffers alike to be equipped with adequate ICT skills that will allow them to utilise the Integrated Electronic Case Management System with ease.” said Muswere

Muswere said that the launch of the Integrated Electronic Case Management System will find  Judicial Officers of the superior courts fully equipped and capacitated to use the Integrated Electronic Case Management System.

“E-skilling of our judicial officers is a key staff development initiative that will ensure that the judiciary is not left behind in the digital age as envisaged by Vision 2030.  Our Ministry stands ready to assist all arms of the State with e-skills necessary for the vision of the creation of an upper-middle-income economy by the year 2030.”

The Judicial Services Commission partnered with the Ministry of ICT, Postal and Courier Services in hosting this initiative.
