Harare ICT Innovation Fund Kicks Off This Wednesday.

After lighting up Bulawayo with 42 startups pitching up from the region, the Postal and regulatory authority of Zimbabwe, Potraz, will bring the final pitch up to Harare this Wednesday as they signal the dawn of government initiative to support startups.

The Harare derby of the event will see hundreds jostling for visibility as the capital city has managed to breed many young ICT tech players with innovative ideas which needs the critical funding to move on.

While many are looking forward to the government initiative to fund their various projects, ideas or prototypes, the pitch night is specifically a talent identification process that calls in young Zimbabwean to benefit, after the program is officially launched.

The pitch night rather has been misconstrued by many to think that that they will walk away with thousands of dollars for their ideas, yet its only an event to signal the launch of the program while project submission and analysis will be done separately.
