Awfully silent, but surely the ICT Africa 2014 is this year opening its exhibition gates on Wednesday the 17th of September 2014 until the 19th of September 2014 at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC).
This is the annual, national ICT event which brings together stakeholders of the educational and industrial sectors in Africa, with the aim of reflecting on how to transfer, diffuse and adopt the Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) within the African context.
Unfortunately, the event has been muted online, dating back as two years, leaving many to guess work, for a national technological, this just leaves a lot to be desired to say the least.

We had to physically visit the office along Hebert Chitepo to confirm some basic information which could be availed easily on their website by it seems some phobia is still in control on their online presence.
The 2014 ICT Africa Exhibition seeks to bring together both scholars and technology practitioners under the theme “Come and See What ICT Can Do For You”.
The event will see various stakeholders from Zimbabwe and beyond in the ICT sector exhibiting their products and services.
According to close sources, this year’s event will see a larger number of exhibitors as compared to last year’s figures. “We are expecting a sizeable number with regards to exhibitors, much more than what we experienced last year,” the source said.
This clearly shows that the event is growing with each passing event. According to their current handout, there are more than 30 technology companies, including all local telecoms, to exhibit on the event.
The 2014 event, to be hosted by ICT Suppliers Association of Zimbabwe, is still in the process of receiving more prospective participants.
