I-WayAfrica introduces The "Fast" Pocket Rocket Dongle at $50 per month

Prior to this very exciting development, TechnoMag had reported that I-way Africa (previously Mweb) had given a damp squib to unsuspecting winners, basically a modem which had “no technical support”, and it seems this time they have proved critics wrong as they finally launch the rocket!

We stumbled upon their eye catching advert and still awaiting much more official information and yet to do the speed tests of their dongles.

Tagged at $50 per month, we would want to believe this price difference will have a lot to show compared to their competitors who are rather cheap yet the speeds are unfortunately, pathetic!

“I-WayAfrica, a member of Telkom SA Ltd, is launching the Pocket Rocket. They have introduced a new range of mobile Internet devices that let you truly experience the freedom of the web. I-WayAfrica now enables you to take the same unlimited highspeed Internet with you wherever you are.” said a statement

The Rocket Pocket is a mobile broadband USB dongle (a plug and go device) connected to a USB port of laptops and computers to provide broadband Internet access. It is easy to use mobile broadband that allows you to work at home or on the move just by plugging into the USB port on your netbook, PC or laptop. You do not need a phone line (landline) to use mobile broadband via dongles.
