At a time when the Zimbabwean economy is performing badly denying general citizens to enjoy luxurious goods, Huawei has come up with a brilliant purchase option which now allows everyone to own a brand new smart-phone through their minimum lay-bye deposit scheme.

According to some shop reps, a lot of people are embracing this move as they have served quite a number of people of who when they find whatever amount of money they quickly dash to the shop to deposit it.
The shop attendant at Joina shopping mall highlighted that the maximum time for this deposit period was four months, which is a great deal considering it is not always you have money at the end of the month.
Huawei phones have been hailed for their durability as well as slick designs, besides it has almost become mandatory that everyone should have a smart phone for easy communication purposes via apps like whatsapp skype etc.
At the beginning of the year, an official at Huawei postulated that they have intentions of having over 200 Huawei shops countrywide, and all the shops presumably will be having all the latest Huawei phones except for the Mate S which I hear is too expensive for the Zimbabwean market.
With the visit of the Chinese president, Huawei envisioned meeting the needs of customers with smart solutions in the telecommunications field; this has been met by the lay bye accounts to get the phone.
During President Robert Mugabe’s visit to China he met up with Huawei Senior Vice President Dafeng Li during his visit to China and graced Huawei’s global flagship talent development programme called Zimbabwe Seeds for the Future.
The Seeds for the Future program seeks to develop local ICT talent, enhance knowledge transfers, and improve people’s understanding of and interest in the ICT industry. It also encourages countries across different regions to participate in building digital society.
The ICT sector in Zimbabwe has much to benefit from the experience that Huawei brings in terms of education. Huawei recognises this and places importance on education as seen in this Future talent development programme that focuses on educating and engaging current and future generations in technological advancement and know-how.
