Flappy Bird, The world`s Most downloaded Game Is Coming Back

0

Did you play super mario, how about battle city or street fighter? If your answer was a yes then you should surely remeber Flappy bird, of course it came recently but impacted more than all these games we used to play in our 90s, on our Nintendo video games.

Iniatially the game was launched in 2013, by a  Vietnam-based developer Dong Nguyen and it got so popular  At the end of January 2014, it was the most downloaded free game in the iOS App Store. During this period, its developer claimed that Flappy Bird was earning $50,000 a day from in-app advertisements.

Wikepedia reports that Flappy Bird was removed from both Apple’s App Store and Google Play by its creator on February 10, 2014, due to guilt over what he considered to be its addictive nature. The game’s popularity and sudden removal caused phones with it pre-installed to be put up for sale for high prices over the Internet.

Games similar to Flappy Bird became popular on the iTunes App Store in the wake of its removal, and both Apple and Google have removed games from their app stores for being too similar to the original. The game has also been distributed through unofficial channels on multiple platforms.

I hope you enjoyed your life over the past month and a half; Flappy Bird is coming back to the App Store after its removal earlier this year, according to the game’s developer Dong Nguyen. Gawker spotted the dev’s tweeted response to a question about whether or not it would ever return, which is an unequivocal “Yes.”

As you can see, Nguyen doesn’t give a timeline but does say it won’t be “soon,” which suggests possibly there’s some additional development going into the game, or at least some kind of preparatory action so that Nguyen can deal with the life upheaval that’s bound to follow. Nguyen left the door open for a Flappy Bird return in his extended Rolling Stone profile, but this confirms the bird won’t stay grounded forever.

I’ve already got the game on my phone, and I didn’t even try to sell it on eBay for tens of thousands of dollars, so I’m not sweating it, but this is good (bad?) news for people who haven’t yet tasted sweet pixelated feather.
