Three Facebook officials arrived on Wednesday ahead of the Facebook Digify Bytes Boost Your Business Workshop to be held on Saturday.
The officials are Sherry Dzinoreva, Nomacala Gapare and Proud Dzambukira. The Social media marketing workshop is aimed at local entrepreneurs wishing to expand their marketing reach. There was a precursor of the events where the Facebook officials shared insights on Facebook page features and how to use them to boost businesses as well as brands.
Speaking to TechnoMag , a Facebook official Sherry Dzinoreva said they landed in Zimbabwe to assist budding and well known businesses with ideas on how to increase their sales using Facebook.“We arrived yesterday returning to South Africa on Sunday. This was pretty much precursory to the Saturday event to be held at Impact Hub where there is going to be so much more than what we did today,” she said.
The precursory event held at Moto Republik was highly interactive and engaging as Facebook officials and the attendees shared various experiences on Facebook and Instagram.
Gapare taught attendants how to use Facebook insights to understand the growth of one’s page and the audience. She also urged businesses to post small sized pictures with high quality. She noted that quality content which is relevant is key for growing Facebook pages and profiles.
Gapare said Facebook videos can help brands grow. She explained that these videos or skits should not be lengthy enough to exceed 10 minutes and have some movement within the first few seconds.
