CBZ Migrates SmartCash Account Holders to CBZ Touch

CBZ  Bank is fast moving with time in the tech space moving its Smart Cash account holders onto the CBZ Touch platform with effect from March 4, 2017.

While Smart Cash was becoming popular with its customers, the bank believes  this migration is a way of bringing convenience to its customers.

The CBZ Touch application was launched in April last year.

CBZ Touch is the bank’s integrated mobile application which opens the gateway for clients to transact across all our banking, life assurance, insurance and Asset Management subsidiaries. CBZ Touch is also available to non-CBZ account holders who can register and create their mobile wallets.

In a statement, CBZ notified its customers that the migration was in line with their efforts to bring convenience to them.
“In line with our drive to bring convenience to our clients, we are excited to advise that we will be migrating all our SmartCash account holders onto our game changing mobile banking platform CBZ Touch effective Saturday the 4th of March 2017.
“SmartCash account holders will receive their MPIN which they can immediately activate and change to a PIN of their choice upon downloading the CBZ Touch Mobile app from Google play store, Microsoft and Apple store,” said the bank.
The application is also accessible using the USSD code.
“The Mobile app is also available on USSD, simply dial *230# and follow the steps,” said CBZ.
CBZ also said there was a technical glitch over the weekend to facilitate the smooth migration.

The CBZ Touch app now has over 33 000 users, with over $1million in transactions done using the application in the last four months.
