Subscribers on the Africom Network since yesterday have been failing to connect to the data platform or top up due to a system failure currently affecting the system.

In some instances subscribers were not able to make calls or even top up on the voice platform. It seems the glitch has affected mostly the data component while voice too has been struggling for through put.
Last night Another subscriber wrote that “ my internet dongle isn’t working , its lost its ip address and cannot connect completely to the remote server since morning.”
An executive with Africom confirmed that an electrical surge has caused a system challenge and efforts to restore all services are currently under way.
Service has been reported to be getting better since morning as some subscribers have been posting back to us that they now have connectivity.
We tested our platform and we now have some green lights.
