Africom, who recently announced that they have extended their popular 4g download limit for $25 for the next three months have gone an extra mile into breaking the $25 package to much smaller units giving power to separate dollar scratch cards.
A single $1 scratch card now offers a whooping 100mb while $5 scratch cards have been stretched to offer even more at 600mb valid for one week.
Africom has continued its offensive marketing tactics while it captures its low end customers as it seeks relevance in a highly contested broadband environment.
Africom also reaffirmed their position on voice calls offer which will only be factored on the first 3 minutes of a call and the rest minutes will be completely free.
The marketing manager with Africom Mr Prosper Mutswiri also announced that Africom has extended its national coverage on almost all major towns with a 100% presence in all cities.
“We have expanded coverage in Kwekwe, Gweru, Chegutu, Kadoma, Rusape, Marondera, Masvingo, Vic falls, Harare, Chitungwiza, Mutare and Kariba too.
We have however extended our base station coverage in Kadoma, Rusape, Kwekwe plus new shops in Gweru and Kwekwe. Chinhoyi is our next target and we expect to cover it completely by March.”, said Mutswiri
Africom however confirmed that they have been successfully sharing towers with other mobile network operators a move that pose them for growth and the general Industry at large .
