Minister of ICT Honorable Jenfan Muswere says his ministry will be presenting the Smart Zimbabwe 2030 Master Plan to the Cabinet Committee on Innovation Technology Development and Application in three weeks’ time, TechnoMag reports.
Speaking at the Cybersecurity Indaba in Bulawayo last week, the minister said the masterplan is set to drive digitization in government, the economy and society as a whole.
“My Ministry is working towards SMART Zimbabwe 2030 Master plan in order to drive the digitization of the government, economy and society. These three (3) aspects represent the broad outcomes of our Master plan,”
“Significant progress has been made in the development of the
Master plan, in fact, we will be presenting the Master Plan to the Cabinet Committee on Innovation Technology Development and Application in three weeks’ time,” he said.
The Smart Zimbabwe 2030 Master Plan calls for a new paradigm shift where government should remove fragmentation, duplication and streamline the management and coordination of ICTs through a new and well-structured institutional arrangement.
