Why EcoSure Moovah Is the Next Motor Insurance Giant

TELECOMS giant, Econet Wireless’ subsidiary EcoSure Moovah has today unveiled a massive One million-dollar promotion that is strategically meant to lure more customers ahead of the September motor vehicle insurance renewal cycle, pitting it against  some of the biggest insurance companies in Zimbabwe.

The daring bid to boost insurance penetration comes at a time when Zimbabweans can only hope for better economic prospects under the new dispensation.

Launched barely a month ago on the back of a micro-insurance technological platform, EcoSure Moovah has already disrupted the sleepy world of insurance into a more innovative and fast-paced space.

Speaking at the Launch of the One Million Dollar promotion today Econet Chief Operating Officer Mr Fayaz King said because of the powerful value proposition to customers the response has been exciting.

“With over 200 000 liters of fuel to give away,  the EcoSure Moovah million-dollar promotion will guarantee that for every insured vehicle, motorists drive away with unprecedented benefits, while the lucky ones can look forward to winning amazing prizes that include vehicles, cash and hundreds of fuel coupons and vouchers in the draw,” said Mr King

The company also highlighted that draws will be held at the end of each month, and a bonus draw for the main prize will be held together with the second month’s draw.

During the EcoSure Moovah launch in July, the CEO of Econet’s Cassava Zimbabwe, Mr Eddie Chibi, said the company was on a mission to help grow insurance compliance to 100 percent.

“It is in fact a statutory requirement that every vehicle should be insured, but there are more uninsured vehicles on our roads, than insured vehicles,” Mr Chibi said at the time.

Addressing stakeholders at today’s second public EcoSure Moovah event after 5 weeks, Mr Chibi said the company is back to offer other unprecedented benefits.

“It is our duty then, as a member of this industry and as we promised at launch, to help educate and give incentives to motorists to ensure compliance, hence our launch of this promotion today.”

Mr Chibi provided further details on the promotion saying ” it will run from August 31 to November 5, 2018 – was intended to create awareness and educate the public on the need for motor vehicle insurance, as well as give incentives to every motorist who participates in the promotion, so that they insure their vehicles.”
