NetOne CEO, Lazarus Muchenje Suspended Indefinitely

Like a deck of cards it all crumbles down, against common sense and logic, NetOne CEO who was yet to complete his probation has just been  suspended pending full investigation, going down the Kangai way, TechnoMag can surely confirm that its all over for Lazarus Muchenje, Or is it?

A surprise card will likely to be pulled out, Muchenje is no a fool, he is stepping on something or someone, and we are curios to know, how this drama which has now turned to be a full speed action movie will unfold.

Mr Lazarus Muchenje the NetOne Boss has been suspended indefinitely after a bruising battle  suing the Minister of Information Communication Technology and Cyber Security Super Mandiwanzira, NetOne Board and the Office of the President.

NetOne Board chairman Mr Paul Chingoka confirmed that that Muchenje has been served with a notice of suspension.

Through his lawyer Chipo Sachikonye of Dube, Manikai and Hwacho Associates, Lazarus Muchenje had urgently filed a High Court application seeking relief in the form of a prohibitory interdict against Board Members, over recently fired executives.

Muchenje was arguing that an unduly constituted meeting had been convened at a private residence on the Saturday the 28th of July in Greendale with the intention of forcing him to implement what he described a twisted political directive from Minister Supa Mandiwanzira.

The NetOne youthful Boss was also insisting that, “The law is clear: the failure to give adequate notice to ALL directors entitled to attend a Board of Directors meeting of a company renders the meeting irregular and all resolutions adopted thereat a nullity and of no force and effect.”

In the view of authorities above him, speculation is that Mr Muchenjenje’s recent actions  and other allegations being leveled against him might be viewed as not representing the values or operations of the firm, undermining the authority of the Minister and his suspension reflects the seriousness with which they view this violation.
