Owning a cool device that has good battery life, nice camera and good enough specs under the hood to multi-task is every Zimbabwean dream but the price factor becomes a major limiting factor. Interestingly Astro Mobile Zimbabwe may have finally grasped this concept.
The next tablet you are going to own from this company is a cool device that will cost you a little less than $100, which is actually less than the second hand pricing trading on most informal markets in Zimbabwe.

The Mercury Tab from Astro is a 7” HD Tab which comes pumped up with a Quad Core processor, and internal storage 8GB ROM running on a 1GB RAM, with 10GB cloud storage (Astro cloud), a virtual customer care app (Astro care) as well as our 14th month warranty.
The camera power of the device is a dissent 5MP Rear camera and 2MP selfie Camera, which basically can accord you cool pictures to capture your moments on the go.
Like all their devices, this will be running on Android 5.1, with a battery life of 3000mAh, which technically is good enough to last you the whole day.
We are however yet to test run and review the product, to fully give you a hands on of what really the device offers considering its market price and performance.
What we really found interesting is the tumbling of devices , which ultimately makes it possible for more and more Zimbabweans to get connected, against high end devices which are coming in very expensive as users continue to demand so much power in a device.
Astro also stated that this device will be available on credit terms, meaning that with a small deposit and part payments, one can still own this gadget, which really makes the future of low end devices interesting
In as statement, Astro announced…
This is a product built for Africa by Africans thus highly durable. It will come along with a free pouch and is also available on credit terms as we seek to connect more Zimbabweans.
