TechnoMag Founder Elected ZOCC President

In his acceptance speech, Mr Rutsito pledged to fight hard for the content creators, who he said were sitting on huge potential which needed to be tapped into and fully exploited, while he targeted to instill good ethics of ethical content creation and  and professionalism amongst the online players.
‘For a long time, the main stream media has rubbished online players as pranksters and platforms that originate unfounded and unethical content, we need to change this perception by creating factual content. One of the most important things we need to do is help players in the industry to monetize their traffic and realize financial gain from it,’ he said.
He continued, “a lot of guys have huge following on various Social Media platforms, with some commanding hundreds of thousands of followers. But, what use are those huge numbers if they can’t be translated into money? Some guys command so much traffic and yet it’s disheartening to see the life they live, and so we need to change that.”
Mr Rutsito, a seasoned player in the Online Media Publishing Industry,  assumes the role at a very crucial time for the industry as there are many issues to deal with, including the issues of data costs and the long mooted ICT Policy. He will be deputized by 263Chat Founder and CEO, Mr Nigel Mugamu.
Also elected to the executive were Blessed Mhlanga of Alpha Media, who takes on the role of Secretary General. Deepleague Founder & CEO, Mr Sean Moyo becomes the Spokesperson while Chief Koti of Star FM, occupies the PR, Marketing & Corporate Affairs portfolio.
The position of Organising Secretary is still to be filled, after the outcome of the election was a stalemate. Also elected to the executive is Mr Pardon Gatsi, CEO & Founder of Techunzipped, who becomes the Treasurer.
