Random Hacks Of Kindness (Rhok), a group of talented local hackivists will be converging at Crowne Plaza Hotel to create a solution against Africa`s most cancerous desease-corruption!
There are currently calling out for all talented coders to take part in the exercise which is scheduled to run across the weekend of the 27th and 28th April 2013.
According to Rhok, some of the most talented young software developers in Zimbabwe will be working working, using mostly existing innovations (such as uShahidi, Binu and FrontlineSMS), to build software to change the world.
RHoK in conjuction with the popular ipaidabribe.org.zwhas been working with subject matter experts on Zimbabwe to develop problems statements addressing challenges in tackling corruption and transparency and these will be thrown out to the developers at the RHoK hackathon.
Speaking to TechnoMag the event coordinator, Tawanda Kembo, he was optimistic that this event will be a step forward towards corruption and encouraged all to come and share their expertise
“At the end of the weekend we’ll invite you to share your RHoK Application with the group with the potential to win prizes and see your work put to use on the ground to save lives and alleviate suffering,” said Mr Kembo
